Epithelioid Cells

Cells derived from macrophages, seen in granulomas and characterized by a large usually oval, pale, vesicular nucleus with a clearly visible nuclear membrane. The cytoplasm is abundant, ill-defined and slightly eosinophilic. Example is a view of epithelioid cells in a naked granuloma of Sarcoidosis.
