- If you have questions about skin lesions or diseases, consult a dermatologist. Inquiries to this WebSite about skin disease entities will not be answered. If you seek additional information, try searching the WWW, or consult a dermatology textbook, readily available at a medical library. A medical librarian can help you find the material you seek.
- Scroll down the Index at left, or use your browser "find" or "search" function to find a disease entry. Use the ImageBase Index to navigate and to return to the Home Page.
- Images are up to 600 x 600 pixels and may exceed dimensions of some monitors. Load times may be long for slow modems and/or trans-oceanic connections at high traffic hours. If you receive a partial image, you may need to increase your browser RAM allocation.
- Images are "best" viewed with a gamma setting of 1.8, a monitor setting of 832 X 624 or higher, and greater than 256 (i.e. "thousands or millions") colors, although lesser values may suffice. For additional information on gamma, click here. Andi Bittorf has a calibration image available at the University of Erlangen. Be sure to visit their Dermatologic Online Image Atlas with over 2,200 images.
